counting, checking, buying and packing...

So, today is going pretty much like any other day. 87 days left until I leave and there is so much still left to do. Little details like flight plans, regulations, what not to bring, what to pack, what not to pack, how may shoes, how many socks... it's all coming together

I started looking at luggage and it can be a little overwhelming. Do I want red, blue, green, gray, pink, polka dotted, cyan, wheeled and non wheeled, I almost wish a luggage genie would come over and say ," Hey Melissa, get this one. This fits your needs really well. Go buy it!"

Well, I'm in the middle of reading C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity and it is blowing my mind. The arguments made have really made me think and reflect. It's nothing like John Pipers book Don't waste your life or David Platt's book Radical. It's different and it's really challenging. I am really getting into this book... and if you know me- you'll know I am not much a reader at all. However I have been able to read

In being creative, I have come up with a concept in which I can stay in touch with you all even while I am gone. I'll just be at every meal, gathering and it's just like I'm at home. :) It's a magnet and I'm pretty dern proud it. They will be arriving soon and I can't wait to hand them out. That way every time you get something out of the fridge, feel free to send up a quick prayer. Here's what it will look like:

I know it seems cheesy but I love this. That way when I get home sick or even when I miss thanksgiving with my families... I'll still be there. :)

If you can pray for peace because I am starting to really stress about this trip. Even though I will be returning for two week at Christmas. It is just now hitting that I will be missing Thanksgiving with Gran.

Till next time,

Melissa
